Our biblical focus comes from 2 Samuel 7:1-14a (David is not the one to build God's house) and Mark 6:30-34, 53-56 (Jesus teaches from a boat and heals the sick).
What makes a home?
God turns the idea of needing a house or temple upside down. Yet, God calls forth a household. Faith leads us into thinking how we are God's dwelling place as well as God being our home. We find ourselves on -- and we help to make -- holy ground when we truly meet each other and worship God in spirit and truth.
