All Hallows' Eve ~ October 31, 2021 @ 10:30 a.m. (in-person worship with Covid protocols in place).

This Sunday we join in remembering our ancestors. Who comes to mind? How is it that our dearly departed continue to touch our lives? Our biblical focus comes from reading & reflecting upon Ruth 1:1-18 ~ Love that lasts.
Each having experienced being the foreigner, Naomi and Ruth find home in being with one another.
Faith asserts that our home is always and everywhere in God. This seems especially true as we live into the darkening time of year, and the veil between what is mortal and immortal --  perishable and imperishable -- is thin. Love survives death. Blessed be.
An Order of Service/Bulletin (pdf) is attached as an 'online' option. You can read the service through, and 'click' the links to join in hearing the extra story and musical elements.

***NOTES: Please don't be shy to join in the theme of the day. Want to wear a costume? Bring a carved pumpkin? (There are lots of battery-operated tea lights to put in them). This is a time to visit the dead -- the saints -- who've gone before us and commune with us still.
Halloween, a holy time ~ This essay is very thought provoking. Selina Mullin has woven the mystery of life beyond death into celebrating Halloween within her family, the church, and wider community... https://selinamullin.com/2021/10/14/halloween-a-holy-time-we-explore-our-humanity/?fbclid=IwAR30Jr0pXnZx3NxBMrfnCGScV-gcYoTS1of3fwP_ByY8YH8sKv6Tmg0XIZw
